Here's some options I am considering for mounting this small 5" X 5" piece onto this black painted canvas. I plan to tear the fabric to give it a natural edge and possibly use some of these brass mesh and ribbon embellishments. I'm thinking it needs another texture element. Thoughts??

I like the first one. The rest seem disjointed to me. They say to always have the elements connected and not floating separately. Maybe you could come up with some connection on the others.
I like the first one. The others need more contrast. Very dark.
