Preschool Helpers

It's actually quite helpful and fun to have your
2 year old and 4 year old granddaughters
help you sort and choose buttons for your button art.
Besides, they are learning to love to sew.
I highly recommend it.

Patriotic Zipper Brooch

A dear friend had been saving this zipper  for many years and chose to gift it to me.
. Now it's been transformed in to a Functional Zipper Brooch. Perfect to celebrate July 4th, or any patriotic occasion. Notice how the white zipper teeth and zipper pull highlight the red and blue fabrics.
4 1/2 inches in diameter with pin back ready to wear.
See it in my Etsy Shop.

New Artist Statement

I'm having trouble loading photos but I have a new artist statement:

Julie Bagamary
Quilt & Mixed Media Artist
Julie Bagamary began hand sewing around age 9 and received her first sewing machine at age 12 as a Christmas gift. Many years later and living in the mountains of Western Carolina, she continues her artistic endeavors. Many of Julie’s pieces are inspired by the scenery of the mountains. Through the use of batik fabrics, quilting and mixed media techniques she creates one-of-a kind art pieces.  Julie started the Choose Life Studio with a couple of goals as her primary focus for her art work. Julie wants her work to encourage others though Truth and Life based on Scripture. Her art pieces have a Biblical scripture as part of the presentation to allow the viewer to better connect with the piece as well as with God. One other goal for Julie is to be able to support missions work through contributing a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her innovative art pieces.

Home Is Where The Quilt Is Contest

is complete and delivered.
A Free Style Cobblestone block is appropriate for the
label since

Notice the "Love is patient, Love is kind"
on the pink section of the door
which shows better in person.

Choose Life Clery Stole Started

I'm excited to begin my first Clergy Stole.
Since  green stoles are used most often through out the
Liturgical calendar and
"Choose Life" is my favorite verse,
it's a good place to begin.

and withers the plant;
its blossom falls and it's beauty

In the same way, the rich man
