What's a babyhalstuch?

It's a popular  kerchief type bib for teething babies in Germany.

This one is created from a bit larger knit fabric on the front
 and a bit smaller polar fleece on the back,
so it has a bit of scrunch to collect the drool.

It's going in the mail to my  newest grandson in Berlin.
