Repurposing Blue 6 Inch Strips - "Joyful Frequency" $650

I'd like to write "Using Up" Blue 6 inch strips
but that's not how it works.
Instead, I've begun piecing this piece
that I sketched in my journal recently
"re purposing blue 6 inch strips".
These strips are left overs or plan aheads
as I prefer, to "Reflecting Glory".
Skinny straight strips are a wee bit of a stretch for me so
suggestions for keeping them straight are appreciated.
"Joyful Frequency" $650
18 1/2 inches X 41 inches.

Thanks For The Input - Diamonds It Is

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments and opinions
I decided to go with the squares and when I
was laying them out chose to turn the squares into diamonds.
They are hand appliqued and the piece is ready for the next step.

Maybe My Favorite Reversible Stole...So Far

I enjoy creating artful reversible clergy stoles.
I often create one side green for Ordinary Times,
like this one and the other side white
for Weddings, Baptisms, Christmas etc.
Gold and white Bull's are the feature of the Wedding etc. side,
while  my fun Free Style Cobblestone blocks
are the accent of the green side. It's available in my Etsy Shop.

Perfect Timing For Hand Painted Fabric

Awhile back I met with and  helped use up/ play
with some remaining  paints from a friend's class.
What a fun day.  I created a whimsical piece of fabric
using stencils, foam brushes etc. and of course
my favorite colors, aqua, purple, fushia and green
on a white background. This created fabric
didn't work in any project I auditioned it to be in...until now.
Perfect timing - often,it is hard to wait for, but worth it.
UPDATE - "Healing Waters" $350
20 inches X 17 inches.

Finger Healing - Sewing Again

It only took me a week to brave my sewing machine again.
My finger is still sore but healing nicely
(covered by the quilting glove).
Surprisingly, the needle did not break but has been
replaced and I am working on the
 machine quilting of "Reflecting Glory".
