Hand Piecing Clergy Stole Side 2 Progress

Organizing my batik remnants yielded a few
green Apple core remnants from other projects.
I hand pieced them and am now
had sewing them down for Side 2 of
of  this Clergy Stole.
It will make a great gift for a recent Seminary Graduate
or Clergy.

Quilted Art Christmas Tree Re-purposed

Artists appreciate hand made art.
I wish I had taken a photo of the original fabric
of this Christmas Tree that I purchased a few years ago.
I really liked the idea even though it was an odd color of green
with gold buttons.  Since I prefer to decorate with silver and blue,
this year
I decided to refashion the tree using the old shape as my pattern.
Now it's quilted from blue batik fabric, white buttons,
wood repainted black and topped with a silver bow.
Ahh, it's ready for next Christmas!

Merry Christmas - Quilted Art Nativity

This Quilted Art Nativity Sold last Christmas.
Created when I was part of a Miniature Quilt Group as a monthly
challenge to paper piece one section a month.
My style is more improvisational now
but this composition is still special to me.

Slow Stitching Seed Stitch

Although I don't have a specific purpose
for this Seed Stitched Oak Leaf yet,
I am certain it will become part of an upcoming composition.
This is the last of the prepared
hand embroidery "kits" I had ready for times

Fiber Art Mounting Technique

I've been following Melody Johnson's blog for some time
and was excited when she began mounting her smaller
Fiber Art pieces a new way.
Cheap Joe's Art Stuff opened locally recently
so I am going to give Melody's method a try.
And be sure to check out her inspiring Fiber Art.

Clergy Stole Completed

Earlier this year I took the challenge from Crazy Mom Quilts
to re-purpose  tiny remnants and create "new" fabric from them.
The  Scrap Vortex QAL  fabric I created has found it's way again into
Side 2 of this Clergy Stole incorporated 2 of the
that I stitched over Thanksgiving
along with Green batik fabrics.
There's also some Hand stamped  and discharged areas.

Italian Gedifra Velour Yarn Preemie Hat

While paring down my gleaned yarn stash,
I came across this unique and beautiful yarn.
Italian made Gedifra Velours is very soft and easy to use for
this newest Knitted Preemie Hat for the local Neo Natal Unit.
that is quick and brightens a sometimes long  hospital stay.

Time For A New Quilted Purse

After machine quilting the batik fabric components
similar to the
"Cupcake" Maruca Sling Bag that I purchased
from a local gallery last year,
I fiddled with the design a bit more and
created another black and white cross body purse
for myself.
 It's similar to the
oyed the size and function so much that I've
I made earlier although a bit larger for my phone.

Fabric Bead Necklaces

I am very blessed to meet with a small group of Artists
where we encourage each other,
spur one another forward and
sometimes spend the evening
creating something fun
like these fabric bead necklaces.
Left - Gabrielle's creation for a couple little girls,
Jodi's green and brown necklace
and my red batik (of course) beads
embellished with buttons and beads.
