Ribbons For Liturgical Stole

 I began entering quilted items in the 

WNC State Fair a few years ago 

in memory and  honor of a dear friend who

loved entering and encouraged me to enter as well.

This year, my Liturgical Stole won 3 ribbons:

1st Place, Best of Show and Judge's Choice.

70 Sole Hope Shoe Kits Cut

One of the projects this year for the  Faith in Action Sunday at our church 

was a Sole Hope shoe cutting party. 

With 27 volunteers, we cut and packaged 

70 pairs of shoes kits that will go to Africans to sew

for African children.  What fun!

Fused Doodle Quilt

After choosing from several doodles,

I fused this composition in a recent workshop 

with Laura Wasilowski using her hand dyed fabric.

Hand embroidered designs in various colors have been fun

along with Proverbs 11:28,

"the righteous will thrive like the green leaf"

Now onward to the quilting.

Spring Landscape

 I had the privilege of helping create some of the compositions in the book of my friend Ann Holmes,

No Sewing Until Your Quilt It.  Now I am creating the Spring Landscape piece from the book for myself.

The border is complete.  Only  84 pieces to add.
