Clergy Stole Side 2

 Creating "fabric" strips

from batik remnants is a delight for my soul. 

Re- purposing tiny pieces is such fun as

Side 2 of my current Clergy Stole has begun.

 Side 1  with "The righteous will thrive like a green leaf"

Proverbs 11:28

and hand appliqued oak leaves. 

I plan to finish it an place it for sale in my ETSY Shop before the weekend.

 I really enjoy needle handwork and do it often. 

Sadly, I've lost many needles and my family tends to "find" them

 unexpectedly and not happily. 

So, recently my now grown daughter purchased

 a Needle Keeper / Minder for me in preparation to watch her 2 little boys on a trip...

go figure :)

 

What a great tool! I didn't loose one needle the whole 2 weeks!

OOOPS - Forgot to Quilt It

Okay, maybe you've never done this, maybe you have.

In my excitement to complete this Wedding Gift,

I wrapped it in pretty paper and was preparing to add a bow and I

realized I had forgotten to photograph it for my blog.

So, I carefully unwrapped it and was going to photograph it,

when I realized that after doing the "escape hatch" finish

where binding is not necessary, I actually forgot to quilt it.

HA!  I'm so thankful I caught it before the big day!

Crazy About Curves Workshop Progress

Yesterday I posted about the

 Crazy About Curves

with Vikki Pignatelli. 

I've completed the pinning of the fabric

and the left half is blind stitched down.

I'm not completely satisified with the top 3 light blue hand dyed fabrics

being the same and am open to suggestions as to

how to possibly differentiate them slightly.

Crazy About Curves Workshop With Vikki Pignatelli

  I had opportunity to take the Crazy About Curves Workshop 

with Vikki Pignatelli today.

 In creating this newest Clergy Stole

for Ordinary Times, I sought out

a verse to hand embroider on the left hand side.

Remembering the

 Falling Ginkgo Leaves Quilted  Wall Art Hanging 

I created previously, I considered that verse but

felt it wouldn't fit  in the space 

until I considered embroidering the verse vertically.
