April Art Daily 2016 - Day 18

 Surface design circles with black paint on red hand dyed fabric. 

After I finish the black embroidery outline,

 I plan to add Colonial knots to the centers of the circles.

Update: Colonial knots in the centers of the painted circles
finishes the red bird nicely.
