Creating Improvisational Modern Fiber Quilted Art
It looks like a thread-count fabric I've seen before (for cross stitch), but it looks good here.
It looks like the tearaway counted cross-stitch fabric that I used YEARS ago when I actually cross-stitched...
I was going to guess a loose weave burlap. After reading what Anita and Suzanne said, I would say that it resembles needlepoint canvas. Whatever it is, they are very nice cards anyone would be happy to receive!
