For several years I have met with a group of quilting ladies on Super Bowl Sunday
to sew and create for an extended period of time. We start at 3 PM and go late.
Here's some photos of our projects this year.

I appliqued some batik fabric to create a Valentine's dish towel.

Then I sewed some 6 inch strips which will be made into tiny quilts for Preemie babies.

Michele is almost finished hand quilting this quilt for her daughter.

Carol created some fancy dish towels and then cut several 6 inch blocks for a big quilt.

And home made soup and bread for dinner.
No photos of all the chocolate and strawberries.
We had a great time!

what a great way to spend super bowl sunday! there's nothing like sharing the day with great friends, great food, and lots of great creative energy! :)
I saw that you are making quilts for preemie babies. My son was born last June at 32 weeks and he spent 23 days in the NICU. I was always touched by the hand-knitted and hand-sewn blankets, quilts, and hats that caring people had provided for my son to use during his hospital stay. :-) I kept a little blue hat to remind me of his time in the NICU (altho it's unlikely I will forget anytime soon!) LOL. Thank you!!
PS: thanks for stopping by my blog!
