Decorative Stitching

After marking the arrangement of these fused squares
with masking tape,
decorative stitches were begun to add more color.
But, since it's distorting some of the squares,
I decided to fuse the arrangement to the batting
before completing the decorative stitching.

The stitches are very pretty. I will be interested to hear more about this and see how it turns out.

I like what you're doing with this! Looks like a successful experiment!

Decorative stitching usually needs a stabilizer so the batting is a good choice. I loosen my top tension with the fancy stitches too and then it puckers less and rounds up nicely. But you probably already knew that.
