Donation #1
Playing in the 6 inch strip container afforded this preemie quilt which will be given to the local Neonatal Unit. And that led me to wonder, "What if I created a donation project each week in 2010?, What if I encouraged others to join me in the adventure?" One a week, whether home made soap, hand knitted scarf, preemie quilt, journal, some type of jewelry or so many other options, that would be a lot to do but that would be A LOT of donations! I haven't made my final decision yet but would also enjoy hearing other's thoughts.

I'm in, I think I will say how many per month because I will make 4 at a time each month. I have all of the leftover flannel from our other church sewing circle projects and I cut it into squares for the preemie quilts. So my goal will be 52 donations, mostly the preemie quilts, a few others to be decided later.
I'm in! I just emailed the local women's shelter to see if they would be interested in quilts for the women and kids who come through there.
I'll be sending off two quilts next week to the Hopes and Dreams ALS Quilt Challenge. And I have one AAQI Priority Quilt ready to mail. So I guess that counts as three already for January. And I have enough blocks on hand to make probably two more quilts. This is a great challenge!
I like the idea. I have already had in my mind that I would like to do preemie quilts, and have already put together a few. I just don't know the size you are working with, and fabric qualifications. I do know that they usually request that the fabrics be new for preemies. Post more information and I will see if my pieces qualify.
