4th in the Series. Specialty batik fabrics are my
favorite due to their artistic nature and strong thread count.
Creating with improvisational piecing by hand or machine from my batik remnants is my sweet spot so combining various blue batik remnants seemednatural. Blue batik remnants from the Queen sized bed quilt that I am also currently hand quilting began the process. Mixing various patterns and shades of blue batik fabric gave motion to my composition. Additions of hand stamping overlays and screen fibers gave the element of surprise and texture that I was seeking. 3 red poppy batik fabric flowers & 2 buds were hand accented by free hand cut green batik stems and leaves.
Blue hand embroidered screen fiber binding further relates to the Mini Flower Series.
$300 - available in my Etsy Shop
