Embellished Purse

I really liked creating the fabric for this purse.
I really liked embellishing this purse.
And I'm really going to enjoy
using this purse.
But putting in the zipper reminded me
why I don't make purses more often.

Easter Egg Fun

Having some little people visiting this week

has been a wonderful reason to

to create and make great gifts.

"Mice" For Preemies

When completing a seam without another piece to add in, I sew two 2" squares together as "mice" to catch the threads and eliminate bunching up of fabric when adding a new piece next time. These squares are then sewn into a 4 patch row, etc. until it's a 16 patch which eventually will be made into a Preemie quilt like the one on Thursdays post.

Another Preemie Quilt

Isn't it interesting how borders can change a piece?

This piece will go to the local Neonatal Unit to be used for
moral support as parents wrap their preemie babies in hand made quilts.

Favorite Daughter

My favorite daughter - OK I only have one, still my favorite, really liked the apron I made for myself a few posts ago. So this one is for her. SURPRISE - Favorite Daughter! LOVE YOU, Mom

"New" Apron

While clearing out some upholstery type of fabric

that had been given to me,
I spotted this nice fabric and sewed it into an apron.
I used an older apron for the pattern and
made bias for the binding and tie.
