Embroidery Quilt Collage Continues

Day 178 #ayearinstitches 
Another repetitive strengthening design today although a bit larger. 
2 strands lime DMC Colonial Knots on the mixed blue Straight Stitch flowers

 with 3 strands Straight Stitch for the stems.

Fashion fabrics are hand embroidered/ collaged through batting and backing at the same time.

I like this technique.

Flower "Post Card" Fiber Art

A small "post card" sized art piece today from a recent project's remnants 

- "It's Not All Black & White".
2 strands navy DMC Seed Stitch around the flower petals.

 It will be mailed out tomorrow to thank a friend for sharing garden plants.

It's Not All Black And White Art Quilt

 Began as part of my #ayearinstitches challenge

these three black and white flowers

and stems are hand appliqued down to a hand 

appliqued background.  

Hand appliqued black snap centers

were the perfect pop of fun.
