I'm still pondering adding fabric somehow on the collar 

but haven't figured that out yet. I find up cycling clothing fun.

Day 25 Your 30-Day Art Challenge & Day 54 A Block A Day Challenge

Prompt Day #25: Choose something very small, 

magnify it and create it in detail with your chosen medium.

Buttons are tiny useful and delightful treasures. 

My enlarged "buttons " are created from batik fabric circles 

with actual buttons for the "holes".

As mentioned yesterday, the bed quilt top is a row

shy. So, more blocks...batik fabrics of course.

Collaboration Wallflower Creation | The Button Florist

I have admired the art of 

The Button Florist - Celia Barbieri for quite some time now.

Naturally, I contacted Celia when I wanted to create some button flowers from some of my many

buttons and use this plaque from my daughter with my husband's favorite verse inscribed into it,

along with some of the buttons from his old work shirts 

to create a Wallflower.

Thankfully, Celia's offered her expertise & a few ceramic buttons to my limited skill

and our collaboration creation was born.  I am very happy with it.

Preschool Helpers

  It's actually quite helpful and fun to have your

2 year old and 4 year old granddaughters 

help you sort and choose buttons for your button art.

Besides, they are learning to love to sew. 

I highly recommend it.

"Delight" ful Button Silhoutte

 After seeing a similar version of the Button Tree Silhouette on

my Daughter-In-Love to Be's Pinterest page, 

and copying it to my Pinterest page,

I created my version of it and added a painted verse of,

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Psalm 37:4.

Delivered to the shower yesterday and she liked it.
