Day 10 A Block A Day Challenge & Another HeART

Striped light purple and marbled green 

batik fabrics for this Free Style Cobblestone Block.

Since 2 Quilted HeARTs were donated to Have A HeART,

2 Quilted HeARTs went into the Gallery at The Hub

and 2 Quilted HeARTS are heading to Twigs And Leaves Gallery,

I chose to begin another one since they are so much fun.

"Morning Song" SOLD

Living in the Western NC mountains and a large bedroom window 

offers me  this peaceful morning scene 

as the cheerful birds begin the day with song. 

A blueberry twig from our woods was used for the hand embroidered design 

over the morning sun in this collage of rust dyed, 

 hand dyed, and cotton fabrics. 

2 appliqued birds have hand embroidered legs and big stitch embroidery 

enhances the machine quilting.

2 additions birds make a special label on the back of the Wall Quilt. 

Approximately 30  inches X 21 inches.
