Pink Collage Texture Additions

Subtle additions of pink X & Y stitches along
with my newest favorite screen type fiber
are building texture and whimsy to this 10" x 10" composition.

Brave Red Art | Client Comments

I love it when a client send me a photo of their Quilted Art
that has arrived.  It's even sweeter when they express
what the art means to them.
"The art piece has arrived, Julie! So happy! As my own physical colors fade with age, I am more and more drawn to red accents, bravely railing against the fragile colors of aging! The quick quip, the twinkle in the eye, the wise words - all these are the brave and life giving accents that we senior citizens provide to those living-out-loud youngsters in our lives. (Thanks be to God for the inspiration He gives.)"

Experimenting With Cold Wax On Real Leaves

No photo description available.
As I am exploring ways to add leaf shapes to my current composition,
I am looking at ways to preserve the brown leaves I collected from the GOA weekend.
A friend suggested trying rubbing cold wax that painters use to preserve the actual leaves.
 Here they are airing.
Has anyone else tried this method on real leaves?
