I finished another green batik fabric Clergy Stole side. 

In asking several Clergy recently, 

it was suggested that I offer Gift Certificates for Stoles

Pastor Appreciation Clergy Stole | Ordinary Times | Wedding Stole

I hear from Clergy that they want a unique Ordinary Times stole

since that season is so long.  

I finished the quilting on this Reversible Clergy Stole

Reversible Modern Clergy Stole | Ordinary Times | Wedding| Baptism | I Am My Beloved's

I just completed this Reversible Modern Clergy Stole this week.

Side 1 is  created from various specialty white batik fabrics in improvisational style and enhanced

by the black hand embroidered verse, 

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine"

Song of Solomon 6:3

Side 2 is composed from many specialty green batik fabrics in my improvisational style

including a hand discharged bird on the left side. 

Machine quilted in white cotton thread.

This would be the perfect gift for someone graduating seminary

or for a congregation to bless their pastor with a thoughtful gift.

I was gifted this gorgeous woven African piece of fabric.

I knew immediately that it would be perfect to

re-purpose into a Clergy Stole. 

I plan to create the reverse side of this Clergy Stole

from a blue Liberian batik fabric.

Ribbons From The WNC State Fair

 I'd never entered the State Fair 

even though my friend, Joy encouraged me each year as she did.

That is until, Joy passed away and now

I enter each year in her honor.  

You can read about this knitted fabric quilted purse here.

 This is the reverse side.

 AND - this wall hanging also won a blue ribbon.

I'm so humbled and excited that my art found favor at the Fair.

Oak Leaf Ordinary Times Clergy Stole In Process

Although I enjoy leaves year round,

the leaves beginning  the change in the Western

North Carolina mountains where I live

is inspiration for this latest Clergy Stole.

Machine quilting has begun on the 

section with the hand appliqued

Removal Of Stitching

 I have entered into a new season of art

where Scripture is not to be on every art piece

I create.  A new and healing adventure. 

Enjoying the sunshine as I removed the verse

 "Seek First The Kingdom of God"

Matthew 6:33 on the stole for a client

to replace it with another Scripture,

"Love Your Neighbor As Yourself" Mark 12:3"

 the birds joyfully sang as black threads

blew in the wind for potential new nests.
