"Be Healed" Embroidery Complete

No automatic alt text available.
Since I chose not to mark the fabric,
I used parchment paper pinned to the
Fiber Art piece for the word placement.
 I hand embroidered
"be healed" in black Peale Cotton thread.
I'm not sure it was the best way to do it,
but it worked.

Dresden Plates Progress

I'm using an off white silk thread to hand applique these
Dresden Plate Blocks. 3 are completed and 1 more is
almost ready for the yellow center.
That will only leave 4 more to sew to add to the other 16
hand sewn by 2 other women.  It's going to be a  beautiful
quilt that will benefit the Old Depot and local school's art programs.

Fall In Western North Carolina Mountains

Fall is so breathtaking here in
the Western North Carolina mountains.
Among the red, yellow and orange changing
leaves are a few green oak leaves holding on.
This hand appliqued Fall Oak Leaf
will be part of the next Ordinary Times Clergy Stole.

Modern Ordinary Times Reversible Clergy Stole

 Side 1
What fun to create an  improvisational  pieced
Reversible  Clergy Stole from
green batik fabrics. I also pulled a few Free Style Cobblestone
blocks previously pieced from my stash.
 Side 2
I'm still enjoying creating with the green solid fabrics
from my friend Eydie. A challenge
since I primarily work with batiks.
It's available for sale in my Etsy Shop.

Reversible Modern Clergy Stole Finished

This Clergy Stole began
with hand appliqued  light green leaves,
and an  oak leaf.
Later I  added some hand
and completed Side 1 with improvisational piecing.
Side 2 is created from a hand marbled
white fabric.
It's available in my ETSY Shop
and would make an excellent gift.

Oak Leaf Ordinary Times Clergy Stole In Process

Although I enjoy leaves year round,
the leaves beginning  the change in the Western
North Carolina mountains where I live
is inspiration for this latest Clergy Stole.
Machine quilting has begun on the
section with the hand appliqued
and hand embroidered oak leaf.

Green Leaves Hand Applique

Since I've had an idea to create another  improvisational  leaf
art piece, similar but not the same as the one I created in February,
AND
Since my dear friend Eydie gifted me
a generous bag of various solid colored green remnants,
AND
Since I am really wanting to start another
hand project,
I've begun hand appliqueing free hand cut
3 leaves and hand appliqueing them to a
contrasting fabric. 32 inches X 5 inches.

Vintage Hand Applique Girls In The Rain

This vintage  hand appliqued hand embroidered piece
was gifted to me and I'm pondering how to
use it in a wall art hanging.  Should I simply
quilt it as is or add blocks around it?  Suggestions?

Black Squares or Black Diamonds? - "Rotations" $650

Hand quilting is almost complete and I've chosen to
extend the black Pearle cotton Big Stitch
into the green border.
 I'm auditioning 2 inch
deckle cut edge black batik shapes
to add turned for squares or diamonds?
Thoughts?

Piecing February Art Daily Leaves

February Art Daily was a great experience for me
and I have 28 fun blocks from the challenge.
Now to put the blocks together that were randomly
appliqued and stitched. I'm thinking of adding
hand dyed fabric coping strips between the
block similarly as I combine Free Style Cobblestone blocks.

Patiently Hand Quilting "Rotations" $650

Although progress seems slow outwardly,
patiently hand quilting is a discipline that I enjoy.
It offers time to be still, pray and create all at once.
