Fear Not For I AM With You - Isaiah 43:5 Quilted Wall Art Hanging
is completely hand pieced and quilted and won a ribbon in a Quilt Show competition.
Several green, yellow and red fabrics combine in the contemporary version of a traditional Bull's Eye design surrounded by a tiny yellow border and completed with a strong green border. Subtly hand quiltied  in the bottom border is the verse from Isaiah 43:5, "Fear not, for I AM with you."
This quilted art wall hanging measuring approximately 32 inches X 32 inches would be special for Christmas but also perfect for year round display. Hanging sleeve attached makes it ready to hang.

Hopefully this all batik, all hand pieced and hand quilted piece will be well received in the "All Hand" category at the WNC State Fair which begins soon.

Charm Quilt Progress

Progress is slow but steady on this Apple Core  hand pieced Charm Quilt and the final placements are still not concrete.  Thanks to some quilting friends who gave me 4 inch squares of light purple batiks which still need to be added.

Fun At The Fair

Created for hubby's office and as a class sample

Verseless no more, Psalm 33:21 was just the verse to hand embroider and complete this piece.

Still Verseless

Hand pieced, hand quilted, sleeve attached...

 now for a verse.

I always pray about a piece as I am creating it, for the recipient, the specific verse that the Lord desires for them.  Usually, I know and have embroidered it already - way before this point. 
So far, I'm not sure what verse to embroider on this piece.
PS to a no-reply comment - I often schedule to post at 2 AM while I'm still snoozing.

Next Quilting Design

Now that the yellow sections are completely quilted,

next are the hearts and border.

I'm still pondering ideas and open to suggestions.

Unmarked Meandering Stitch

Hand quilting is so relaxing.

It's also nice to have a project

ready to go when needed/wanted.

Yearning For Yellow

This hand piecing project or "To Go" project as some call it,

began with grey backgrounds and needed some pizazz.

These triangles are the remains from my

king size bed quilt from awhile ago.

So yellow to the rescue. Let the hand piecing begin.

Now - what to do with the remaining remains?

Slow/Fun Progress

Recently, while attending a Fiber Art gathering,

I happily hand pieced some more blocks.
Someone asked if I was crazy to do hand
piecing and I replied, "I think so, but I enjoy it
and it keeps me out of trouble."
