Happy Blooms Needs A Name

No photo description available.
I finished these Happy blooms and machine signed my name.
Spring blooms are everywhere here,
so cheerful and reminding of new beginnings.
Title suggestions welcome.
I plan to list this in my Etsy Shop $135/

Textile paint and a fern stamp recovered a previously plain blue border. First you tape it down, then stamp away and voila!

Quilting Complete

After "dividing" up the columns with wavy quilting in the sashing strips, the columns were quilted a couple at a time taking a break to rest my arms. I like the different green and blue borders.

No Snow Yet

The mountains and moon are appliqued onto the snowy night sky.
Now for the snow.
It's too early to think about snow for me. :)

Creating More Energy

Back to the batik remnant bin for this background which is ready for some embellishments and a verse. How can you go wrong with purple?? I like this much better than the one from yesterday and it flowed together much easier also.

Bright And Happy

***Praise God our Internet is working again. *** I've added sashing strips, and pinned some tiny praire points to this piece. I'll open the seams and insert them and sew again. I also need to decide on a verse for this bright and happy piece. Any suggestions?

"Be Joyful In Hope"

This piece "Be Joyful In Hope" is finally canvas framed and ready to put in a gallery. It just needs a backing to cover where I sewed the piece onto the canvas.

Playing With 6 Inch Strips Again

Several months ago I cut a lot of my remnants into 6 inch strips. This fun size is great to create a preemie quilt, child's quilt or wall hanging. I noticed last night that the 4th row is a bit dark near the bottom so I'll "wes" (sew backwards) and change out a few of the strips then add to the remaining rows.

Great Show

The Asheville Quilt Show was a wonderful show.
It was fun to see my work hanging there.
The Red/black/white batik piece -
"Rejoice in the Lord" was in the miniature
category while the green/black batik piece
was in the Art Quilt category.

Silent Auction

Isn't it great to have some blocks already made
that you can "quickly" piece together to create
something in a hurry!
These Cobblestone blocks and
Bull's Eye Blocks seemed to blend naturally
for this piece for the
Asheville Quilt Guild Silent Auction.
Proceeds benefit Community Quilt projects.

Circles

The recipient of this wall hanging really likes circles. Soooo, there will be lots of circles, Bull's Eye style, along with the verse with their name inserted.

Machine Writing Label

I used some masking tape to create lines
to keep the machine writing on
this label fairly straight.
First time I've machine written
a label.

Verse Added

This verse is tiny but it's on a miniature piece.
I had to rip out and redo a few
places but now it's good.

Rejoice

I have been doing some machine "writing"
lately and have been even more inspired by
Baumcat. (She's really good.)
The "extra" space in this block afforded room
for the word, "Rejoice". The red thread
makes it subtle but fun.

"The Lord Is My Light And My Salvation"

Although naming a piece can be challenging,
this banner now has a name and label
sewn onto the back!
