stretches me to create using fabrics 

than I would normally not choose. 

Thankfully, they had some aqua 

which makes everything work in my opinion.

Repurposed Journal - Favorite Rubber Stamp

I believe I bought this "love" rubber stamp from the 

 $1 bin while visiting my daughter in Ohio.

It's my current favorite stamp to add to quick art pieces.

Journal is art paper from a collaborative project in a workshop,

Repurposing Options For Blue Advent Calendar Pieces

Upon discovering these blue Advent Calendar remnants, and praying about what to do with them (too much piecing to toss :)  I realized they would be great to repurpose into Fabric Art Leaf Bowls.  It will be interesting to see how many they create.

My Dog Ate My Quilted Art

How do you salvage a completed piece -business card tag and all - that falls out of your car one night and you don't realize it until the morning when your dog has enjoyed a button embellishment and other unrepairable spots?  I gleaned the hand embroidered section and painted it blue with SetaColor so far.  Stay tuned.

Praise The Lord / A Friend Loves

 Adding "Praise the Lord, for He is Good" Psalm 135:5 to

this card front

and "A friend loveth at all times" Proverbs 17:17 to this card front and then applying each to a fresh folded card stock complete the process of repurposing them.

"This Is The Day" Card

"This Is The Day" is another repurposed card "front"  with a new ribbon added.  Acutally this card "front" is one I created awhile ago made it's way back to me to pass along again.

Altered Altoid Tins

Often, I'm given empty used Altoid tins to create Agape for Chrysalis Weekend  however this one came from being a volunteer at our local hospital!  Woohoo - another art canvas.

Since the sticker wouldn't release, I covered it with some of Carol R.'s marbled paper which is more colorful in person.  Next Isaiah 49:16 was stamped onto the paper and

also over the sponged painting over the also stubborn sticker on the inside. 

Price tags for my Quilted Art are inserted and a  label on side of tin is added.

Other tins I've repurposed for myself at other times include the yellow one which I just covered the sticker with flower stickers.  The blue batik fabric covered one is a portable sewing kit which the green cat batik fabric covered one with painted side accents (you can tell I use them) hold cabone rings.

Simple, useful purposing  yet fun art.
