After practicing on a muslin practice piece (placed near art piece to get space perspective, I used this new to me soap stone marking pen to create the boundaries to machine write the verse,
"The joy of the LORD is my strength." and then the reference Nehemiah 8:10 on the bottom border.

oh wow--the machine did this?? Beautiful!!! I am so hoping that i can just stitch something straight!! i love that verse---when i practice my lettering this is the verse i write over and over.
