Although difficult to see, the rim of this knitted hat is a checkerboard pattern. It (#52) completes my 2010 More Blessed To Give Challenge. I'm thankful for the opportunity, time and supplies for this challenge. It's true -
Acts 20:35, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Hats For Me??
Since I had #1 in the gift exchange game with Fiber Arts Alliance Christmas party, I was able to make the last choice of all the gifts given. There were so many wonderful gifts, but I chose this fun felted wool hat that is embellished with beading. The giver said she made it as a basket but the original person who chose it immediately put it on their head and for ever more it was deemed a hat!
This fun blue hat came in the mail from my fabulous daughter and it matches a scarf she knitted for me awhile back. Wow - now I have 2 fun hats!!

#50 & #51 More Blessed To Give
#50 is a Give Away of this cool ruler.
First person to respond that they would
like it is the winner.
This is SO fun!
#51- this knitted hat was a challenge for me as my More Blessed To Give personal challenge nears the end of 2010. I'm praying if the Lord wants me to continue this challenge in 2011 and if so what are the details.
It truly is more Blessed To Give than to receive.

Advent Stars
Created years ago in a round robin type exchange, "He Also Made The Stars" is a favorite piece of mine not only because I like stars but it's fun to have friends' work it it.
Hanging from it is our Advent Calendar. Photo was taken yesterday on the 11th...thus the 11 stars.
Today is the last day to enter into

More "DEB" Name Tags
The Fiber Arts Alliance is such a fun and creative group.
This hat/name tag is a great creation and Deb wore it proudly!
Sorry for the fuzzy photo of the other name tags.
Guess Deb has no excuse not to wear one now....
not that everyone doesn't already know who our
Fearless Organizer is already!
Merry Christmas DEB!

#44 More Blessed To Give
On the "give away" table at a recent quilting bee group were these 2 wonderful yarns that worked well together for another scarf for the homeless. Thanks Micki! And a special thanks to Michele for creating this table scape and the rest of my living room for Christmas.

#43 More Blessed To Give / Thanks DEB
As a surprise "Thank You" to Deb, who keeps our Fiber Arts Alliance Group organized, many of us created name tags for her. She was successful in having us created them for ourselves, but never got around to creating one for herself. Now she has several to choose from to enjoy at our meetings.

Red Basket/Bowls & Back On Track
As I was delivering Fabric Basket/Bowls recently, I was convinced once again that I am to put Scripture on the front of all my pieces...something I had neglected with the first bowls I'd made and was delivering. Part of my calling as a Fiber Artist is to offer hope through the Truth of Scripture and give 50% of my proceeds to missions. Thanks for the gentle reminder Lord, I'm back on track.

Advent Calendar Time
One of our family's traditions is to count down the days of December using this Advent Calendar where we put a yellow ultra suede star on for each day leading up to Christmas. Now my granddaughters carry on this tradition.

Student's Fabric Basket
Kit recently graciously hostessed in her home a
Fabric Wrapped Basket Workshop.
She used 3 batik fabrics cut with the rotary cutter.
Isn't it wonderful! I like how the random
beige strips give it an artistic flair!

Students Button Necklaces
What a delight to be in the presence of other creative women who were creating a Button Necklace for a special little girl in their life - image the thrill of receiving a hand made Button Necklace!!
Below, Sarah created her necklace using some bold color buttons,
while Cheryl's necklace utilized some pastel baubles.
Libby's necklace included some fun, flower buttons
and Betsy's creation used some cute
butterfly and heart buttons.
Later, Libby showed us this wonderful button necklace created entirely from antique shank buttons.
Talk about inspiration! Anyone interested in a Button Necklace Workshop
with your group on in your home??
