Hand Quilting Complete

A simple quilting design for this all batik, hand pieced, true charm quilt wall hanging.  Now on to binding and getting it ready for the State Fair.

4 X 6 Backgrounds

Playing in the remnant bin again to create these 4 X 6 backgrounds which will become Quilted Desk Art.

Apple Core Hand Piecing

Apple core is a wonderful pattern for hand piecing. I'm using only green, purple and a few black batik fabrics  for this small wall hanging.  My plan is to create a true Charm Quilt which uses only 1 pattern shape (tessellation) and no repeating fabrics.

The 2nd sofa  pillow cover up is complete including the appliqued Bull's eyes and quilting. It's hand sewn over the back of a couch pillow where one side matches our sofa. No stuffing required.

Red Basket/Bowls & Back On Track

As I was delivering Fabric Basket/Bowls recently, I was convinced once again that I am to put Scripture on the front of all my pieces...something I had neglected with the first bowls I'd made and was delivering.  Part of my calling as a Fiber Artist is to offer hope through the Truth of Scripture and give 50% of my proceeds to missions.  Thanks for the gentle reminder Lord, I'm back on track.

Bottom Sleeve Lesson

As I'm adding a bottom sleeve to some of my quilted art pieces, I've learned an easier way to do it.  It only took  this third one to figure it out - LOL.  Oh- and Free Style Cobblestone blocks make great labels.

Walk to Emmaus is  a 4th-day renewal movement designed for improving relationships with Jesus Christ.  This batik piece complete with screen fiber Fall leaves and "Wait for the LORD" Psalm 27:14 embroidered on it, will be part of the silent auction this Saturday to benefit the local community of Walk to Emmaus.

Etsy Store Reopening

Thanks SO much Eva for all the time you spent with me yesterday helping me re-open my much neglected Etsy Store.  Her optimism was encouraging as well as practically helpful.  Not to mention she is such plain fun to be around!  Stay tuned over the next few days as I upload many, many items.  Just in time for early Christmas shopping.  Woohoo!
