The pistil stitch is new to me.

 I like how it adds texture  to this

strip fused red batik and hem tape

leaf hand embroidered on

purple batik fabric.

remnants cut into leaf shape

then hand appliqued  buttonhole stitch

  This daily challenge has been so good for me.
Hand stamped/painted fern leaves on

 hand dyed yellow fabric.

 One of the 3 leaves smudged a bit but

 I'll probably keep it....thoughts??
