YES! Easter Carrots!

Easter Carrots? Why not!

Carrots begin as tiny lifeless seeds that are buried in the dark ground 

as Jesus' body was dead and buried in darkness. 

As Carrots exhibits new life, it can be 

a symbol of Jesus' resurrection

and new life and  His sustenance for living offered to us.

So yes, Easter Carrots!

Growing More Fabric Easter Carrots

 Yesterday I created 5 Fabric Easter Carrots

and needed more orange fabric.

 Created these last night and plan to create more to have enough for my grand kids.

Question....how can carrots be a symbol of a true Easter Celebration?

Hand Quilting Complete

 I chose the Squares instead of Diamonds

to add interest in the top right corner of this composition.

The hand quilting and Big Stitch is complete.

Now to face it.

into the green border.

deckle cut edge black batik shapes

Daily Art Leaves Progress

I find it interesting that even though I did not plan 

particular sizes for my leaf blocks

 as I participated in the February Art Daily Challenge, 

  the leaves puzzled together quite nicely.

Bonus Block ~ February Art Daily

 During the February Art Daily Challenge

I combined  Day 14 with  Day 15

since they were already fused from a previous 

project and only needed hand stitching.

And yet, as I'm preparing to piece 

February Art Daily Leaves it needed one more block.

A fellow quilter suggested using another painted swirl background

which will fit nicely in the open space

next to Day 14 and Day 15.
