Fabric Earrings

After mailing these fabric beads I created from a fushia batik fabric to my creative daughter, they returned to me in wonderful earring form. 

She also created these fun blue earrings on her own by making roses from the fabric.

4 X 6 Backgrounds

Playing in the remnant bin again to create these 4 X 6 backgrounds which will become Quilted Desk Art.

Apple Core Hand Piecing

Apple core is a wonderful pattern for hand piecing. I'm using only green, purple and a few black batik fabrics  for this small wall hanging.  My plan is to create a true Charm Quilt which uses only 1 pattern shape (tessellation) and no repeating fabrics. 

Praise The Lord / A Friend Loves

 Adding "Praise the Lord, for He is Good" Psalm 135:5 to

this card front

and "A friend loveth at all times" Proverbs 17:17 to this card front and then applying each to a fresh folded card stock complete the process of repurposing them.

 DeeDee fused wool and silk pieces for this collaged items.

while here she is adding some hand sewn embellishments. 

This cute lamb is created using Carol's wool remnants from some of her other wonderful creations.

More Fiber Arts Alliance Show & Tell

 These Show & Tell pieces are all from Dottie who is quite prolific.  First she created a collage piece using recycling fabric and found objects.

Next, her Fabric Zentangles were fun creation.

 She uses the pull tab from food products (Orange Juice containers etc.) for hanging smaller quilted pieces.  How clever.

Finally, her brown piece also highlights found objects as she enjoys repurposing items.

Ann used some gleaned upholstery renmants and buttons to combine for this great purse.

I didnt' catch the name of the creator of this beautiful piece which was from a study in the color wheel.

 Stamping black leaf shapes onto a "plain" upholstery fabric adds interest

while adding a bit of green fabric paint with a sponge gives a stenciled effect for this upholstery fabric
