Working on this piece this AM in Improvisational piecing fun

using blue remnants, screen fiber, glass vintage buttons

and the beginnings of an orange flower and stem.  

It needs tweaking still

I had so much fun at the Natural Dyes & Inks Drop In with Eyeland Studio. 

Using a flat brush, I painted these 3 flowers using natural dyes on watercolor paper.

I completed this blue, black & white modern Bull's Eye twin quilt today.

 I looked back to my blog and saw I began it March 5th

 with fabrics from my stash and a few gifted me

A New Thimble & Day 95 A Block A Day Challenge

I prefer a plain leather thumb thimble since I quilt mostly

moving away from my body.  I created this new one

from some gleaned thick leather, pre-punching the stitching

holes and using my old one for a pattern.  It only took a few minutes.
