Still playing with the Free Style Cobblestone blocks hoping to re purpose the art quilt my dog ate. Just for the record, it wasn't my current dog but the last one. Hmm, that's been awhile.

50% Profits Benefits Missions!
Obviously, I enjoy creating Quilted Art.
However, there's basically 2 reasons I sell my Scripture Inspired Quilted Art:
1-To offer artful Scripture in homes to spread Truth and
2- To give 50% of my profits to benefit Missions.

Painted Shoes Happy Again
Removing the old paint from the shoes was worth the effort now that they are repainted, sealed and ready to wear. Hopefully this new sealer will work much better.

Fun "Finds"
While straightening my studio, two bright 4 X 6 backgrounds appeared which I tried a couple of ideas, unsewed them and prayed (yes, I pray about my art) and went for a walk.
Beautiful Day lilies graced the road side and were inspiration for this small piece of art.
This background only needed a dark purple strip which looked like a cross when I turned it sideways and a verse. Done. What fun finds.

My Dog Ate My Quilted Art
How do you salvage a completed piece -business card tag and all - that falls out of your car one night and you don't realize it until the morning when your dog has enjoyed a button embellishment and other unrepairable spots? I gleaned the hand embroidered section and painted it blue with SetaColor so far. Stay tuned.

Show And Tell
This wonderful thread cabinet (first I'd seen) was part of a great studio I visited recently with a group of quilters.
Another member was given this old quilt and plans to have it quilted. Great fabrics and in great shape.
Laurie's drawer on her cutting/work table was filled with cut remnants ready for the next project. What organization.
A quilt on the long arm machine and
a clever tool holder that fits under her regular sewing machine.
Fun day and lunch too.

Butterfly Fabric Post Card Birthday Party Invitations
When my 3 year old grand daughter asked what kind of party I was having for my birthday, I realized what she really wanted to know was the theme. Theme??Hmmm...butterflies are a good theme and I already have butterfly fabric for the table, a large butterfly cookie cutter for our sandwiches, etc. and she and her younger sister thrilled to receive their special invitations through the mail. And to think, I was just going to have a regular party. :)

With God All Things Are Possible - Matthew 19:26
Aqua is one of my favorite colors....well and purple....and green....hmmm.
I do like aqua and this fabric basket was fun to sew using batiks from my cabinet.
It will most likely be one its way to a local gallery later this month unless someone else is interested before then.

Gleaned Ties For Chrysalis Flight
Thanks Dot for putting these colorful ties on the "give away" table at Fiber Arts Alliance. I'll repurpose them as Butterfly Ties by stenciling with a simple butterfly and give them to young men at a Chrysalis Flight and/or Journey Flight as an agape reminder of God's perfect love.

More Fiber Art Alliance Show & Tell
Karen created these wonderful leaves to accompany her fabulous dolls.
Hopefully, she's going to do a demo in the near future :)
Robin's book is from an envelope mingle where artists create envelopes from various fibers and they are mingled so each artist can have a fun collection.
Carol brought more of her hand made books which feature various treasures and embellishments.
What a creative group!

Fiber Arts Alliance Show & Tell
Our Fiber Art Alliance group consists of fiber artists of all mediums. Show & Tell is always very inspiring.
Christy created this fun scarf using a water soluable stabilizer and remnants.
Marie brought this class sample that she sewed out of batiks and curvy seams.
Gen had fun using up fiber remnants by couching them on this whimsical piece in circles and over seams.
I missed the name of the creator of this felted wool piece that highlighted the hand dyed flowers of Nancy.
More to come.
