Heart Block For Hospital's Heart Path Program

No automatic alt text available.
Each year Quilt Guild members are invited to make a "Thank You" block f
or the outgoing Guild President.
This year's recipient requested red hearts to create a piece
for our local Hospital's Heart Path Program.
Red Feather Stitch Outline on pieced red batik heart
on white background. I also printed "love" on the center section.

Asheville Quilt Guild - Star Community Quilt

As part of the Asheville Quilt Guild, assembled
these star blocks that various guild members created,
added the pieced sashing and machine quilted it on my friend's
long arm machine.  This was my first attempt at using a long arm machine
but hopefully not my last.

Asehville Quilt Guild Show October 2,3 & 4 2015

"What's In Your Hand?" is one of my entries in this year's
There are many fabulous quilts, vendors etc.
During the online April Art Daily 2015 online I hosted,
I personally
challenged myself to create a "hand" block daily
 using various approaches
along with hand dyed or batik fabric.
I blogged daily of my adventure not having a plan
of what to do with the blocks.
It was so much fun researching "hand" formations
and choosing numerous techniques.
I chose to combine them
into this approximately 32  inch X  32 inch Wall Art .
The title comes from something  Basket Artist, Matt Tommey
often asks artists, "What is In Your Hand?"
meaning what has God already given you to work with?

Asheville Quilt Guild Show & Tell

Spinning Stars was hand pieced by Mary F.
I've watched this quilt grown in to the bed sized beauty that is now.
This 2 toned blue quilt is a wonderfully pieced bed sized quilt too.
I didn't get the name of the creator.
